Elner Rose (Ellie) Abbett Sharp passed away peacefully in her sleep February 9, 2017 at her home in Wells, NV. She was born May 5, 1930, in Ogden, UT to Elmer and Gertrude Abbett. When she was 3 days old they moved to Elko, Nevada where she grew up and graduated from Elko High School in 1949. Ellie lived in Elko County all her life. She had 3 children with her husband Robert Burns. She later married Jesse Sharp and worked side by side with him in their electrical contracting business. Ellie was an avid bowler; she loved square dancing, hunting, and the outdoors. She was very involved in the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America when her children were young. Her favorite past time in her later years, was driving through Clover and Starr Valleys looking for wildlife and enjoying the ever changing scenery. Ellie was a Rainbow Girl and her biggest dream was to be able to join Eastern Star, which came true and she was very active with her chapter. She was also a Daughter of the Nile. It is difficult to sum up 86 years into a couple of paragraphs.

She is survived by her son, Bruce of Ocean Park, WA, daughter Bonnie (Don) Kennedy of Reno, NV, and daughter Vikki (Randy) Dedman of Wells, NV. She is also survived by grandchildren, Mara & RJay Dedman, and Race & Lander Kennedy, as well as great grandchildren Jaden, Lars, Madisen, and Jaxston Dedman.
