... Moses married JANE KING who likely also was born in Jones County. Between 1837 and 1848 they had three known children reflected by the 1850 census:
Jones County Tuckahoe District 10/12/1850
339-331 MOSES ADAMS 45 M Farmer $180 NC x
Jane 40 F NC x
Elizabeth 12 F NC
Penelope 5 F NC
George 1 M NC
From the gravestone of their son George we know he was born 12/8/1848. George remained in Jones County where he and his son (Moses' grandson) George Jr and other family members are buried in Pleasant Hill Christian Church Cemetery
Based on first-hand information as remembered by Dwight Adams his ancestor Moses Adams died in 1872. He was likely buried on his property (no Find-a-Grave memorial could be found for him so unlikely a cemetery burial unless he too was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with no presently legible marker)
