Keith Leclaire Aanes, son of Lloyd and Clara (Erickson) Aanes was born July 10, 1938, in Clermont, Iowa. He received his bachelor's degree from Iowa State University and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Winlock Aanes, having recently celebrated their anniversary marking 59 years of marriage.
Keith retired in 2000 after a long and successful career in the packaging business. In his spare time, Keith and Helen enjoyed travelling the world. He also loved to read and stay abreast of current events. Keith was also very active in the Edmond Lutheran church fellowship.
Keith's death occurred in Edmond, Okla., Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019. He passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home, with his loved ones by his side.
In addition to his wife, Helen, Keith is survived by his two children and their spouses, Christopher (Luckana) Aanes and Eric (Shelley) Aanes of San Carlos, and Kentfield, Calif., respectively; two grandchildren from Eric and Shelley - Sophie and Graham Aanes; as well as his sister, Clarice Gass.
Keith was a loving husband, caring father, and a compassionate member of the Edmond community. He will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held at a future date, under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home.
