Cleo Bishop Abercrombie, 97, a resident of Morning View, KY, passed away at her residence on Saturday May 2, 2020. Born in Clay County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Isaac N. and Susan Ann Burns Bishop.

On October 25, 1991, she was united in marriage to Clyde Abercrombie; he preceded her in death on October 19, 2013. She was a lifelong homemaker and housewife whose hobbies and interests included gardening, animal loving, knitting, going to flea markets and yard sales, but she will long be remembered as a “feisty” ‘lil lady that looked cooking and had a special love for her family. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Cleo leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter-n-law: Minnie Dean of Morning View; one granddaughter: Margie Hickerson of Florence and two great-grandchildren: Scarlett Dean and Roman McNeese. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Clyde Abercrombie, Mark Dean and Paul Lay; her son: Mark J. Dean, her granddaughter: Tammy M. Dean; four brothers: Edward Bishop, Charles Bishop, Arthur “Ted” Bishop, Larry Bishop and one sister: Florida Bishop Stidams.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday May 7 at Crittenden Cemetery with Rev. Bill Evans officiating.
