Helen had numerous interests. The most important things to her were friends and family. Her joyous disposition was welcomed by everyone around her. Helen achieved the grand title of Master Gardener and could be found tending to her garden for up to eight hours a day. Adjacent to her garden was the Port Royal Golf course. On many occasions golfers would stop to marvel at her beautiful garden and praise her green thumb with a standing ovation. A learned botanist, she knew the name to every plant growing on the island.
