Ms. Opal Velma (Dyer) Masterson, 95 of Huntingdon, Tennessee, passed away Saturday,
October 4, 2014 at her home.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Carroll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM.

Ms. Masterson was born March 19, 1919 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Oscar and Victoria Pearl (Haun) Dyer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Leon Masterson; one daughter, Evelyn Faye Elliott; two sons, Floyd Leon Masterson, Charles Roy Masterson and three grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Louise Burlison; one son, James Masterson both of Huntingdon; one brother, Herbert Dyer (wife Lorene) of Knoxville and a son-in-law, Lloyd Elliott of Sylvania, Alabama. She also leaves seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
