A Native of Chatham, VA, he came to Los Angeles in 1902.
He took an active part in the affairs of the Los Angeles Paint, Oil and Varnish Club and was President of the Club during 1932.
He was a Past Master of East Gate Lodge, number 290, F and A M and was a member of the Knights Templar, Golden West Commandery, number 43. He was also a Member of the Los Angeles Consistory, Scottish Rite, as wells as being a Member of Al Malaikah Temple.
He leaves one son, Robert Lee Hubbard, also a number of brothers and sisters in Virginia. His wife died six years ago.
Funeral services were conducted by the Masonic Order.
Interment was in the Inglewood Park Cemetery in Los Angeles.
