Margie was a native of Lyons, who lived most of her life in Chamblee, GA and returned to Lyons twelve years ago.
She was a devoted homemaker.
She was an avid rock hound who turned her finds into beautiful jewelry for her family and friends.
She had a passion for serving others through caregiving, as she volunteered at nursing homes and church.
She always had a dry sense of humor and she loved making others laugh.
She was the former "nursing home queen" at Meadows Park and Oxley Park.
She was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church of Kibbee.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Barton, ten siblings, and her son-in-law, Ted Wilson.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Margie Aaron Barton will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:00 PM at North Atlanta Memorial Park, 5188 Winters Chapel Road, Atlanta, GA. Interment will follow.
