Adeline E. Peterson, 97, of Earlville, Illinois passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 at Heritage Health in Mendota, IL. She was born April 10, 1922 in Rochelle, IL, the daughter of Ferd and Clara (Knutson) Heiston. She married John Peterson in 1940 in Clinton, IA.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Earlville. She worked at CTS in Sandwich, IL for over twenty years. Adeline enjoyed babysitting for friends and family. She loved to swing on her porch with her dog and watch the traffic go by. Most of all she enjoyed baking pies and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Rita (Larry) Beck and Norman (Joan) Peterson both of Earlville, IL; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. One daughter-in-law, Linda Peterson of Earlville, IL; one sister, Carol "Susie" Beardin of Ashton, IL; one sister-in-law, Fern Heiston of Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Luann Acuncius, her son, Melvin, two grandsons, Jeffery Beck and Tom Schmidt, three brothers, Francis, Duwayne and Edward Heiston.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Earlville, with Pastor Del Keilman officiating. Burial will follow at Precinct Cemetery in Earlville. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, February 11th at the church until the time of service at 11:00.
