A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2003, in Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home for Phillip V. Bevans, who died March 5 at age 73.

Mr. Bevans was born June 2, 1929, in Shoshone, Idaho. He served in the Marine Corps for 14 years and then in the Marine Reserve. He moved to Portland in 1960 and was an industrial parts and household equipment salesman and later owned a tavern.

Survivors include his daughters, Cheryl Bennett and Jennifer Manning; sons, Phillip R., Douglas and Bruce; and seven grandchildren.
