Luther Aaron, age 86 passed away on Wednesday evening, February 19th, 2020 at Franciscan Health and Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Indianapolis and former resident of Franklin, Indiana.
He was born on April 10, 1933 in Columbia, Kentucky to Fred and Ruby (Harvey) Aaron. He married Ruby (Curtsinger) Aaron on February 19, 1955. She preceded him in passing in 1992. He is survived by daughter, Lois Aaron of Indianapolis: grandchildren, Paul (Jennifer) Wetter; Cliff Wetter; Amy Langdon, Kevin Moss and Christopher Berg; great-grandchildren, Jon, Christian, Ocean, Lucian, Caleb, Alden, James, Khayn, Trevor, Sebastian, CJ, Jed, Travis, Wyatt and Dylan and brother Billy (Jeannette) Aaron. He was preceded in passing by his parents; wife, Ruby; daughter, Linda Armstrong; granddaughter, Kelly Moss and siblings, Olen, Richard and David Aaron.
He attended school in Kentucky. Luther was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.
Luther was employed by Anderson Light and Power, retiring after several years of dedicated service.
He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. He loved fishing and never knew a stranger.
John Ray will conduct a Celebration of Luther’s life on Monday, February 24th at 2:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Visitation will be Monday, February 24, from 11:00 a.m. to time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana where military honors will be conducted by the Franklin American Legion Post 205 Honor Guard.
