Nora Elizabeth Burnett Smith, 81, of Turners Station, died Wednesday at Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison, Ind. She was a homemaker and a member of English Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters, LaVerne E. Abbott of Crittenden, Patricia O'Neal of Deputy, Ind., Alicia D. Reisner and Lucquia M. Robinson, both of Turners Station; sons, Floyd J. Smith of Turners Station, J.D. Smith and Alford M. Smith, both of Carrollton, and Owen E. Smith of Bedford; sisters, Helen Elwood of Shelbyville, Nellie Webster of Muncie, Ind., Viola Washburn of Pleasureville and Ida Mae Wayne of Carrollton; a brother, Charles Burnett of Tuscon, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren, one step-grandchild, 18 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at English Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in English Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to English Baptist Church Building Fund, in care of the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, Ky. 41008.
