It has been told that she married Lester (Ned) standing up in a convertible car by the Church of Christ preacher. This union taken place in Van Zandt County where the Parker and Davis families were farmers. Rose & Ned moved to Dallas (Oak Cliff) and began a family, she a homemaker. My grandmother name "Rose" with her maiden name of "Davis" has been past down throughout these families.

She took great pride as a homemaker, mother and grandmother often sewing doll clothes, baking sweets with homemade ice cream when the grandchildren were on the way.
