Edwin Adams Jr. 91, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at the Horizon Senior Living in Clare. He was born on March 16, 1929, the son of Edwin & Annabelle (Butler) Adams in Jonesville. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, proudly serving his country during the Korean Conflict.
On March 3,1951, he married Florence “Flossie” Callow in Quincy. Together they had 4 children: Pamela (Dave Cushing) Adams of Paw Paw, Sandra Skinner of Jackson, Daniel (Judy) Adams of Colorado Springs, & Barbara (Dick) Woodruff of Beaverton.
On May 16, 1974, he was united in marriage to Beverly McCurdy in Lansing. She preceded him in death in 2011. He is also survived by her children: Christine (Michael) Hall-Reed of Clark Lake, Daniel Hall-who preceded him in death, Jackie (Terry) Libera of Williamston, Joe (Wanda) Crippen of Jackson, & Julie Crippen of Bay City.
Edwin was Superintendent for Beaverton Rural Schools for many years, retiring from the position in 1986. He was a proud member of the Masons & Shriners.
He is also survived by many loving grandchildren & great grandchildren.
