Vera, age 85, passed away at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. She was the daughter of Dana L. and Erma (Moyers) Erwin. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1952. She married Charles Abell on September 30, 1954, in Topeka.
Survivors include her husband, her children, Amy Beaton, Kenneth Abell, Kelly Abell, Tina Bates, Kyle Abell, and Charles Abell, her brother, Don Erwin, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Dean Erwin and Marilyn Mayes.
A private chapel and graveside service was held at Stewart Funeral Home and Wamego City Cemetery.
