VIOLA N. OSBECK
A funeral for Viola N. Osbeck, a retired nurse's aide, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Bronleewe Bass Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will be in Fir Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Osbeck died of causes related to age Monday in her home. She was 81.
She was born Jan. 3, 1911, in Brookings County, S.D., where she was reared and received her education. Her maiden name was Aarstad. She married Harry Osbeck on Dec. 31, 1937, in Brookings, S.D., and the couple moved to the Hillsboro area during the 1950s.
Mrs. Osbeck and her husband owned and operated the City Motel in Hillsboro for a number of years. She later worked at Tuality Hospital until her retirement during the mid-1970s. She was an active member of the Evergreen Christian Center. Her husband died in February.
Survivors include a brother, Happy Aarstad of Aurora, S.D.; and a sister, Lila Reiton of Sioux Falls, S.D.
