Lavonne Faye Reemtsma was born on December 15, 1937, in Lyon County Iowa, the son of Arthur and Jeanette (Abben) Eeten. She attended High School in Rock Rapids, Iowa, and graduated in 1955. Following High School, she worked for the phone company and at the roller rink in Rock Rapids. She always mentioned how she loved to roller skate. She then worked as an accountant for businesses and worked self-employed at home to raise her children. Lavonne was a great cook. Her chocolate chip cookies were the best.
