Billy (Bill) Joe Abee, age 84, of Miramar Beach, FL, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020. He was born in Ravenden, Arkansas on April 19, 1936. He was married to Lawanda Ellen Green in 1955 in Aurora, IL. They were married for 58 years and stayed close to the end.
Bill started with Sears in 1954 and over the next 42 years he held many positions. He retired as the store manager in Owensboro, KY in 1993. After retiring, Bill and Lawanda moved to Miramar Beach, FL in 1994 and enjoyed many years in retirement.
Many of his cherished family have gone before him; his wife, Lawanda; son, Glenn Abee; parents, Charles (Buster) and Annie Abee; brothers, Dalton and Henry Abee, and sister, Nina (Abee) Bottoms. Bill is survived by his daughter, Sherri Abee of Abilene, TX and son, Greg (Betty) Abee of Victoria, TX; Eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 161 Racetrack Rd. NW, Fort Walton Beach, FL. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Valparaiso, FL.
