Francis Whaley McMillin 93, of Paris Pike, Georgetown, retired Real Estate Broker and Auctioneer for over 70 years in Scott County, died Monday, November 8, 1999 at the Hospice Care Center, Lexington.

A native of Bourbon Cointy, he was the son of the late Alpheus Conner and Jo Aurelia Martin McMillin and served as Master Commissioner for Scott County for 27 years. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Mt. Vernon Lodge No 14, F & A.M. and former member and past president of the Georgetown Rotary Club. He was also a recipient of the Farm-City Businessman of the Year Award.

Survivors include a sister: Elizabeth McMillin Abbott, Georgetown, 3 nephews, Robert S (Mary) McMillin, Joe Patterson McMillin and Lyle Bruce (Carolyn) McMillin, all of Georgetown, 6 great nephews, Joe Patterson McMillin, Robert Lee McMillin, Lyle Bruce Mcmillin, Lance Thomas McMillin, Luke Scott McMillin and Jesse Scott McMillin, 2 great nieces, Joreen McMillin and Ann McMillin Jucket, 2 great great nephews: Kristopher Conner Watson and Kyle Patterson McMillin and 2 great great nieces: Elizabeth Danielle Watson and Stacy McMillin.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Alpheus Conner McMillin, Jr., and Robert Lee (Budgie) McMillin, 1 nephew; Wallace Conner McMillin and 1 great nephew; Jeffrey Conner McMillin.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Johnson's Funeral Home by Rev. C. Patterson Clark, Jr. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Robert Sharon, Pat, Bruce, Joe, Robert Lee, II and Lyle and Lance McMillin.

Honorary bearers will be Kris Watson, Luke and Jesse McMillin, Price Smith, Ed Lynch, Robert Mitchell, Virgil Pryor and Bobby Rankin. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Expressions of Sympathy may be made to Hospice of the Blue Grass or the First Presbyterian Church.
