Harold was a native of North Park and was a Korean War Veteran. Harold drove a bus in his hometown and worked at the Red &White grocery store and the M&M grocery store. Later Harold worked for Ed Hines Sawmill, Michigan River and retired from the Louisiana Pacific. Harold loved to travel, fish, hunt and was a competitive shooter, loving to shoot trap. He also enjoyed bowling.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Alta May (Cathcart) Anderson and Lars Oscar Anderson; brothers, Dale, Buell and Floyd; nephews, Gary and Kay and Brad, and a great nephew Dale. Survivors include one son, Lonnie Anderson, of Walden.
