Brenda Caryl Aaronson 1938 - 2008 Pittsfield Brenda Caryl Aaronson died peacefully at home on Sunday, March 16, 2008. Born on Nov. 13, 1938 in Pittsfield, daughter of the late Attorney Jacob Solon Aaronson and Sally (Golden) Aaronson, she graduated Pittsfield High School in 1956 and received her undergraduate degree in music education from the University of North Carolina in 1960, her master's degree in 1967 and her doctorate degree from New York University in 1979.

She is survived by her brother, Attorney Harris N. Aaronson, sister-in-law Doris Aaronson, their children, Jack R. Aaronson and Tracey Aaronson-Smith, and her grandniece, Sydney, who was her pride and joy.
