Ida Jean, was the daughter of Carson and Elsie (Fouquet) Hamm. She graduated Davenport High School in 1946. Ida Jean married Tom R. Able on June 16, 1969, in Davenport. She retired from Howard-Johnson restaurant, following 32 years of service. Ida Jean was a long time member of the Davenport First Christian Church, having served as a Lady's Aid Quilter. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors, 54 year member of the Eastern Star and also worked 56 years for the Lincoln County Election board as a precinct official.
Her parents, husband and one brother preceded Ida Jean in death.
Survivors include her son; two daughters; two sons-in-law; two sisters; two brothers-in-law; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
