Raymond C. Able, 60, of Marion, died Sunday, April 25, 1993 in the VA Medical Center in Salem.

Mr. Able was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and was a member of the American Legion Post #18 of Marion.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Ruth Able of Marion; two grandsons, Mathew and Joshua Able, both of Marion; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Cecil (Buddy) Able of Marion, Mark and Sallie Able of Roanoke; two special friends, Helen Able of Marion and Irene Wright of Union, W.Va.; three stepsons and one stepdaughter, James Reynolds of Iaeger, W.Va., Michael Reynolds of Pulaski, Danny Reynolds of Marion and Debbie Smith of Richlands; nine stepgrandchildren, several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 28, 1993 at 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Randy J. Garner officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery with full military rites conducted by Marion VFW Post 4667. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
