Emily Jane Bailey was born in Lincoln county, Kentucky April 15, 1837 and departed this life at her home in Bloom township this county, March 12, aged 75 years. She was married to John G Adams in 1862 and came with him to Atchison county, Kansas in 1878; from there to Osborne county three years later. Of her seven children these survive: Thomas, John, Hiram and Eliza Adams and Mrs E E Williams. Mr Adams died in 1889. Mrs Adams was converted in early life and united with the Close Communion Baptist church and lived and exemplary Christian life unti she was called to her reward. Funeral services were held at the home last Sunday by Rev A E Grothaus of the Free Methodist church.
