NEW CASTLE, Ind.--Charles E. Abbott, 41, a former New Castle resident, died Tuesday in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Ohio. He was born in Olive Hill, Ky., and had worked for Nelson's Tree Service, Springfield.
Survivors include four sons, Charles E. and Joshua Abbott, both of Springfield, Tracy Abbott, Kentucky, and Charles A. Abbott, Indiana; a daughter, Cheryl E. Abbott, Springfield; four brothers, Gary, Wendell, Bill and Rudy Abbott, all of New Castle; five sisters, Pamela (Mrs. Dave) Terry, Janet (Mrs. Jim) Elliott, and Bonnie (Mrs. Rick) Teel, all of New Castle, and Arelda (Mrs. Bill) Poole, Jupiter, Fla., and Barbara (Mrs. Bill) Boatman, Albany, and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Abbott.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Macer-Hall Funeral Home. Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery. Calling is 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
