He was son to Pitner and Lettishia (Rhodes) Abbott. Brother to Frank Abbott my grandfather.He was born on June 1, 1892 in Boone County, Iowa.

He died on July 14, 1944, of tuberculosis at the U. S. Veterans' Administration Hospital in Excelsior
Springs, Clay County, Missouri. Son of Pitner Abbott. Information obtained from Hope Funeral Home records at the Excelsior Springs Museum & Archives.
