Funeral services for Arthur Rudolph Abraham, age 84, a resident of Dent, Minnesota for 57 years, were held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wheaton on Augst 5 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Royce C. Leckband officiating.
Mr. Abraham died at the Traverse County Nursing Home suddenly on Aug. 1. Pallbearers were James Abraham, Roger Abraham, Alan Fridgen, Roy Hormann and Richard Thomsen oof Wheaton and Kenneth Abraham of Savage, MN. Internment was at St. John's Cemetery in Wheaton.
Mr. Abraham was born in Smith's Mill, MN, on January 12, 1897, the son of the late Herman and Elizabeth Abraham. He moved to Wheaton in 1902, and to the Dent area in 1924 where he did commercial fishing, farming and was owner of the Star Lake resort until 1968 when he retired. Art was a WWI veteran and a memeber of the Dent Veteran's organizations and the Dora Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his daughter, Betty Frost; 2 grandsons, Jack and Jeff Frost; one sister, Esther McElwain and twenty nieces and nephews. Mr. Abraham was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and 1 sister.
