ERNEST "BUD" ABRAHAM
Ernest "Bud" Abraham, age 65, a lifetime resident of the Wheaton area, died at St. Luke's Hospital in Fargo on Thursday, Jan 31.
Mr. Abraham was born in Traverse Co. on Dec 12, 1914, the son of Herman and Elizabeth Abraham. He grew up in Traverse County. He was united in marriage to Elphild Mossberg on November 7, 1938.
Mr. Abraham farmed all of his life on the Abraham farm by Lake Traverse in Traverse County. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a very active member of the Traverse County Sportsmen's Club.
He is survived by his wife, Elphild; his son Roger; daughters Carol [Mrs. Dick]Thomsen and Eileen [Mrs .Gene] Lundquist all of Wheaton; one brother, Arthur of Dent; one sister, Mrs Esther McElwain; eight grandchildren, Brian, David and Julie thomsen, Kathi, Steven and Daniel Lundquist, Melisa and Ranae Abraham.
Mr. Abraham was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Edward and Max, and one sister, Myrtle Hormann.
Funeral services for Ernest Abraham were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, at the St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. W.O. Sprengler officiating. Pallbearers were Dale Hormann, Roy Hormann, Leon Johnson, Willard Mossberg, Fred Wheeler, and Lyle Wohlenhaus. Honaorary bearers were Harry Bihrle, Chris Boothby, Ted Hoxtell, Lowell Johnson, Frances Mord, Wilton Lundquist. Louis Sellden and Monroe Wass. Internment was in the St. John Cemetery.
