Cletus “Cannonball” Adams, 79, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away at 4:42 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2020 at his home.

A native of Hopkins County, he was born on November 18, 1941 to the late Gordon and Margaret Ladd Adams. He was a former logger and a United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on his farm.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Renee Adams; his brother, Arnold Adams; his sisters: Earnestine Adams, Josephine Tyler, Mary Francis Messamore, Ruth Ann Farris, Lucy Rains, and Edna Mae Adams.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Adams; his daughters, Cynthia (Dave Freeman) Adams and Amy (Scotty) Herndon both of Dawson Springs; his brothers, David (Elaine) Adams, Roger (Kathy) Adams, and Phillip Adams all of Dawson Springs, KY; his sisters, Betty Lowe of Onalaska, TX, Sue Hartwig of Kokomo, IN and Christine Hale of Dawson Springs, KY; and his grandchildren: Shelby (Jesse Nichols) Robertson, Tyler Rogers, and Landon Kurtz.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Oak Grove Church Cemetery (121 Bards Hill Rd) in Greenville, KY. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Crofton is in charge of the arrangements
