Brent was born July 1, 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late William Lee Aaron and Helen Cleaves Aaron. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1961 and attended Memphis State University, where he played football for both schools. Brent was married September 25, 1964 to the former Linda Leatherwood, who preceded him in death on October 20, 2019 and was the owner of John C. Hines Company and retired in 2011. He was a member of Hickory Withe First Baptist Church and was an Eagle Scout in earlier years. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and shooting his gun.
Mr. Aaron is survived by two daughters, Andrea Rutherford (Tim) of Water Valley, MS and Melanie Cochran (Tony) of Spring Hill, TN; his son, Brent Lee Aaron, Jr. (Aimee) of Cordova, TN; his sister, Susan Dials (Dickey) of Mason, TN; his brother, Brian Lee Aaron (Linda) of Gallatin, TN; twelve grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and close friends who cared for him, James Richardson and W.T. Shinault.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Lee Aaron and his great-granddaughter, Adeline Hollister.
Funeral Services for Mr. Aaron will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Dave Biter, music minister at Hickory Withe First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. A visitation for Mr. Aaron will be from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Austin Carlisle, Zac Cochran, Taylor King, Dylan King, Ethan Rutherford and Sam Rutherford.
