Acree obtained land from the estate of Asa Bradley, on which his children including William B. Acree likely settled, near Polecat, Habersham County, Georgia near where current Banks and Stephens County meet. Allen A. Acree was one of the founders of Tate's Creek Baptist Church and it is reasonable that he might be buried here, under a wooden cross which has since deteriorated.
