Carolin (Carol) Elaine Allen (nee Crook), 71, passed away on January 15 2021 surrounded by love and family.

She was born in Qu’Appelle SK and lived for 50 years in Lake Cowichan BC and area. She was predeceased by her father Edward Crooks, mother Rosemary Poitras, step-father Victor Poitras, and brother-in-law David Hellebrand.

She is survived by her children Harley (Carrie-Ann), Tanya (Tracy), Shayne, and Ryan (Jenn); grandchildren Lily, Anika and Andrew; siblings Margaret, Marilyn, Richard and Bernice and their families.
Carol was a hard-working mom and grandma (Nana) who loved us all fiercely.

She raised us four children as a single mom, kept an open door for all of our friends, worked full-time, and still managed to keep a sense of humour. She dedicated her life to nursing and worked for 40 years, mainly in the Duncan hospital ICU.

She passed knowing how much she was loved by her family, friends, ICU family, and so many others along the way. May each of us continue to feel her love.

A graveside service for family will be held in summer in Qu’Appelle valley. In lieu of flowers, mom has suggested donations can be made to Lake Cowichan Food Bank or Cowichan Search and Rescue.
