Retired Senior Police Officer Robert G Alaniz passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020, at the age of 66. He is survived by his wife, Irma M. Alaniz.
He began his law enforcement career on June 21, 1976 where he was assigned to the City of Houston Marshal's Division and the City of Houston Park Police until the merger with the Houston Police Department on September 1, 1985. During his career with the Houston Police Department, Officer Alaniz was assigned to the Special Operations Division and the Downtown Division until his retirement on July 15, 2017.
