ABRAHAM-BENZKOFER NUPITALS ARE HELD
Miss Euphemia Benzkofer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Benzkofer, prominent residents of Traverse County for many years, and Max Abraham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Abraham, living near Lake Traverse, were married at the Catholic church at 8:a.m. Wednesday, Sept 21 and left the same day for a short wedding trip.
Both the bride and the groom have grown up in this area and have a host of friends. the bride is a graduate of the Wheaton High School and the Normal Training department. and for the past three or four years has been teaching in the Traverse County schools. The friends of this estimable young couple will wish them all the joys of married life.

Euphemia Ellen Abraham, a resident of the Wheaton area for 65 years, died suddenly at her home on aturday, December 1.
Mrs. Abraham was born at Breda, Iowa, on September 12, 1902, the daughter of the late Joseph Benzkofer and Christina Knobbe Benzkofer. she was united in marriage to Max Leon Abraham on September 21, 1927. they farmed until 1962. She also taught school for several years before marriage and one year following.
Mrs. Abraham was a member of Ava Maria Catholic church, The Helping Hands Club and numerous card clubs.
Funeral services for Euphemia Ellen Abraham were held at 10:00 a.m. of Tuesday, Dec 4, at the Ave Maria Catholic Church with Rev. John Eccleston officiating. Pallbearers were Donald Arens, Dale Sax, Roger Abraham, Kenneth Schmitz, Roy Hormann and Lyle Wollenhaus. Internment took place in the Wildwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Abraham is survived by two sons, Eugene at Watertown, MN., and Kenneth of Savage, 8 grandchildren, four sisters, Charlotte Johnson, Regina Beutz, Loret Peternell and Melinda Cutten, all of Minneapolis.
