Robert Randall "Randy" Aaron, 62, a longtime resident of Bay Minette, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in a local hospital. Randy was one of the finest people you'll ever meet. He loved bluegrass gospel music and sang with "The Unknown Bluegrass Band" for over thirty years. He was employed by the Baldwin County Board of Education for over twenty years as a diesel mechanic keeping the school buses maintained. His love of the outdoors so much and it allowed him to hunt, fish and raise hogs. An incredible cook, it was never uncommon to see four smokers going all at the same time. Cooking, travelling and spending time with his family were his favorite things. "Paw-Paw" was always active in the lives of his grandchildren, and they were his heart. He loved his family dearly and always shared a laugh and a kind word to everyone he knew. He is predeceased by his parents, Nicholas Aaron and Annie Mae Tanner Aaron.
He is survived by his loving wife whom he adored , Karen Wenzel Aaron of Bay Minette; his son, Robbie Randall Aaron and daughters, Shelley Houdek and Christina Bailey, all of Bay Minette; step-son, Josh (Tina) Brooks of Bay Minette; stepdaughters, Kelly (Chuck) Wallace of Bay Minette and Nicole (Michael) Pylant of Spanish Fort; one brother, Nick Aaron of Axis, AL; two sisters, Sharee (Rodger) Shivers of Bay Minette and Sheila Denise (Jack) Lambeth of Walnut Hill, FL. Also surviving are his five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; six step-grandchildren.
A celebration of Randy's life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Dyas Assembly of God, 48960 US Hwy. 31 in Bay Minette. Officiating will be Rev. Wendell Hadley, Rev.
