The lives of Kimberly Skipper and Leo Abby were blessed on January 6, 1995. On that day, Zachary Ryan Abby was born into the world. For the last 26 years, Zachary has fulfilled the purpose God predestined for him. In life, Zachary touched the lives of a vast amount of people: rich, poor, young, old, black, white, friends and family. In death, Zachary will still be touching and impacting lives; he was an organ donor and can save or help repair 75 other people.

Zachary was born January 6, 1995, in Saginaw, MI, at Saginaw General Hospital. He transitioned February 15, 2021, at Hurley Medical Center, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was baptized at Zion Baptist Church, Saginaw, MI, by Rev. Rodrick Smith, later moving his membership to Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Monroe, LA, under the leadership of Rev. Ike Byrd III. Zachary was a 2013 graduate of Neville High School in Monroe, LA. Zachary attended elementary and middle schools in Saginaw Public and Grand Blanc Public Schools (Michigan). He was currently attending Mott Community College in Flint, MI. Zachary lived…laughed…participated…enjoyed.

Zachary was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Louis and Onnie Bell Skipper, Nina Mae Lynch, and Thomas Lynch, as well as a great-uncle, Jesse Lynch.

Special thanks to the Hurley ICU doctors, nurses, and staff, with special thanks to his nurses, Ashley, MaryBeth, Kimberly, and Bridgette.
