Emilie Bieberdorf, beloved Mother of Bob Bieberdorf of Mill Bay, B.C. passed away at the Acacia Ty Mawr Retirement Home on August 27, 2018 at the age of eighty-nine years.

She was the loving Mother of Bob Bieberdorf (Doris) and Grandmother of Stanley, Rene, Tenneh, Valendy, and Valencia. She will also be lovingly remembered by her sister Olga Elliot and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, Ted Bieberdorf, and her brothers Alphonse, Oskar, and Alex Karcher.

Emilie was the youngest of five children growing up during the 2nd World War in the Ukraine. The family made their way to Germany in 1942, and immigrated to Canada in 1949. Emilie worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Victoria. She met Ted Bieberdorf from Courtenay and they married on September 24, 1951.

Emilie was a clever business woman, developing and operating apartments and motels, in partnership with her husband. She will always be remembered for her giving spirit and strong support and love for family.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Duncan for many years and actively involved in the Ladies Aide.

Family would like to extend a special thank you to Fe Ulzame, the staff at Acacia Ty Mawr and Dr. Reynolds.

Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 2704 James St. Duncan, B.C. A viewing will be held prior to Service from 12:00 - 12:30 p.m.
