Mildred B. (MacNeven, Meenahan) Apitz, 83, of Bovey, died on Tuesday, May 13, 2003, into the waiting arms of the Savior, whom she truly trusted and loved.
She had been a longtime member of the Marble United Methodist Church, was active in the Ladies Dorcas Society, Girl Scouts, and the Women of the Moose Lodge #1061. She had worked several years for Goldfines and Kremers in Grand Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents Anna and James MacNeven; her first husband Thomas Meenahan; sisters Della Meade and Elaine Molin; brothers Leonard Scotty MacNeven and Harold Curler.
She is survived by her husband David H. Apitz, Taconite; her daughters Margaret Peggy Trast, Bovey, Barbara Aasheim of Rockford, Minn.
She is also survived by David's children, David Apitz of Isanti, Jeffrey (JoAnn) Apitz of rural Bovey, Gail Renforth of Las Vegas, Christine Polta of Escondido, Calif. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
VISITATION:5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 16, and one hour before the 11 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, May 17, in the Peterson Funeral Chapel, Coleraine.
Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, Minnesota.
