Richard "Dick" Abraham, (72), of Kissimmee, FL passed away on March 11, 2021. Refusing to spend a day in bed and fighting to the very end, he passed away peacefully in his home after finally losing his 7-year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Dick was born in Richmond, IN to Leila and Francis Abraham. He grew up with 5 siblings (2 sisters and 3 brothers). He grew up a car and motorcycle enthusiast, was always mechanically inclined and eventually became a professional mechanic. He was a hot rodder at heart, customizing and building many cars, drag racing, motorcycle riding and did everything possible to help ensure the finishing of his 57 Chevy as his last ride.
At the age of 19 he met Mary Lou, the love of his life. They married a year later and they enjoyed 52 years together. By the end of their first year of marriage they had started a family, having their only son Kevin. Four years later the addition of their only daughter Nicki completed their family for many years until it began to grow with the addition of grandchildren and eventually great grandchildren.
Dick was preceded in death by his father Francis, sister Sandy and brothers William and Robert. He is survived by his mother Leila, his wife Mary Lou, son Kevin (Naneschka, Gabby) daughter Nicki (husband Nigel) 4 grandchildren Austin, Matthew, Kris, Courtney and 6 great grandchildren, brother Randy Abraham and sister Sherry Dearth.
Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 25,2021 from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm at Dockside-Lake Nona, 13615 Sachs Avenue, Orlando, FL 32827.
Burial of ashes will be held at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45409
