Agnes Irene Ferris Busbee, 85, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022, at St. Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit, MO.

Irene was born October 13, 1936, at Macksville, KS, the daughter of William Williams and Laurene Peters Williams. She graduated from Gridley High School in Gridley, KS, in 1954.

On July 4, 1954, she and Frankie Ferris were married in Emporia. In 1962 they had the first home in the City of New Strawn, KS, after the City of Strawn was to be flooded by the construction of John Redmond Reservoir. Irene was Past-President of the Burlington Professional Women. In 1983 they moved to Pace, FL. Irene and Frankie were divorced and he died on October 21, 1990.

In February 1990, Irene married Thomas Busbee in Pace, Fl. He died in 1994.

Irene was employed as a medical assistant in Pensacola, FL until her retirement in 1995.

She was also preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Laurene and Melvern Abendroth and two half-brothers, Jim and Gary Abendroth.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Williams, Excelsior Springs, MO; her half-sister, Patricia Halfmann, Kansas City, MO; a half-brother, Paul Abendroth, Burlington, KS; a number of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friend
