Jewell Wade Abney, 57, of Russellville died Nov. 21, 2007, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
The Allensville native was born June 13, 1950. He was a Baptist, an active member of the American Legion and a Vietnam War Army veteran. He was a son of the late James Buford Abney and Edith Ernestine Grogan Abney of Keysburg, who survives.
Other survivors include his wife, Rita Diane Russ Abney; five sisters, Jo Ann Portolese of Liberty Lake, Wash., Dorris Pozehl of Keysburg, Kathy Brodd of Crosby, Texas, Joyce Dollen of Channelview, Texas, and Linda Pillow of Russellville; a brother, Tim Abney of Channelview; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Belmont Cemetery in Allensville.
