He was born in Mesa, the oldest son of Mark and Kathleen Aspey.
He spent his childhood in Tempe and was a 1996 graduate of Corona del Sol High School. He attended Arizona State University for his undergraduate degree and received his juris doctorate from the ASU College of Law in 2003. He clerked in the summer of 2002 for Flagstaff attorney F.M. "Fritz" Aspey, his uncle.
After law school, he was employed as a deputy county attorney with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office. He will be forever missed in the hearts and minds of his family and friends.
He is survived by his father Mark and stepmother Judy of Flagstaff; brother Brad; sister Krystal (Bryan); stepbrother Jake Cunningham; stepsister Cara Cunningham; his uncle; and his grandmother.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery in Scottsdale.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Red Cross, The Grand Canyon Chapter, 6135 N. Black Canyon Highway, Phoenix, AZ 85015-1892.
