Ms. Carrie Louise Perkins Abbott, age 74, of Wilkesboro was called home to glory Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center.

Burial will be in Scenic Memorial Gardens.

She was born March 4, 1931 in Wilkes County to A. L. and Grace Satterwhite Perkins. She attended Lincoln Heights School and worked as a domestic engineer for several years. Mrs. Abbott was a faithful member of Wings of Healing Tabernacle where she served on the Missionary Board and the Pastor's Aid.

A brother, Robert Perkins and a sister, Grace Parsons preceded her in death.

She is survived by: Mr. Walter Abbott, Sr. of North Wilkesboro; three daughters, Patricia Parks and husband, Eugene of Wilkesboro, Deborah Davenport and husband, Walter of Worchester, Mass, Carolyn Pendleton and husband Darnell of Falls Church, VA; two sons, Walter Abbott, Jr. and wife Susan of Blowing Rock, Anthony Abbott and wife Betty of North Wilkesboro; two sisters, Peggy Austin, Sara Carlton both of Wilkesboro; a brother, Wayne Matthews of Brooklyn, NY; a sister-in-law, Martha Perkins of Wilkesboro, two very special friends, Olla Rymer and Betty Garvin; 19 Grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and countless other friends.
