James Abell, aged 70, and brother Richard Abell, aged 60, died last Saturday, same day.
James Abell was the elder born in Virginia, in 1841, and died of old age. Richard Abell was born in Tennessee, in 1853, and died of pneumonia.
With their father Mr. Uriel Abell, who conducted a meat market in the 1880's, they came to Kansas in 1886, locating on a farm adjoining Edgerton, on the west. Their mother died about six years ago, at which time they lived with their brother George Abell, and family.
Neither men had ever married, devoting their lives to their parents and each other.
They leave their brother, Mr. George Abell, of Gardner township, and two sisters, Mesdames Lucy Dillon and Green of Sweet Springs, Missouri.
