Ruth Margaret Larsen, daughter of the late Thomas L. Allstun and Carrie Tracer Allstun was born on October 17, 1917 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on April 3, 2011 at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing in Dexter at the age of 93 years.

Mrs. Larsen was a lifelong member of the Dexter Church of Christ in Dexter, retired from Elders Manufacturing in Dexter after 30 years of employment. Ruth always enjoyed quilting and was an avid gardener.

On December 23, 1934 she was united in marriage to William N. Larsen in Bernie, Missouri. Mr. Larsen preceded her in death on March 16, 1974.

Survivors include one son, Norman Larsen of Apple Spring, Texas; by two daughters, Hazel Perry of Bloomfield, Missouri and Leah Phillips of Grand Prairie, Texas; two brothers, Walter Allstun and Lorn Allstun both of Dexter; also by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Lee Larsen; by one daughter, Wava Gillespie; two brothers, Arthur Allstun and Charlie Lloyd Allstun; by six sisters, alice Abbott, Lucy Harrison, Lillie Fortner, Pansy Vaughn, Edith Gist, and Bessie Shipman.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. on Thursday April 7, 2011. Funeral services will then be conducted on Thursday April 7, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Rainey- Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Bro. Travis Quertermous officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
