Ellen Lola Eason Abbott, 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Spring Arbor of Wilmington, NC.
One of eight children, Ellen was born in Wilmington, NC on December 6, 1929 to Agnes Jamieson Eason and Preston Jackson Eason.
Ellen was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Emerald Norris and son, Jerre Norris; sisters, Edith Barrett and Evelyn Strickland; brothers, Jack, Graham, Huber and Billy Eason and daughter in law, Nancy Norris.
Ellen is survived by her husband of 60 years, Andrew Doran Abbott, her son, Sam Norris of Wilmington, her daughter Joyce French and husband Allen of Cary; five grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM October 31, 2021 at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
