He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Magdlean Whisenant; three daughters, Margie (Bennie) Johns, Joy (Wilton) McNiel and Colleen Weaver; a son, Arnold (Mary) Whisenant Jr.; two sisters, Jewell Abbott and Camilla Hanners; 12 grandchildren; and nine g-grandchildren.
