Beverly Jones, age 89, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2021, at The Willows of Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove, MN, after a courageous and graceful battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Beverly Ann (Luckhurst) Jones was born on December 30, 1931, to Ralph and Ingebor Luckhurst in Day Township of Clark County, SD. She attended country school at Elrod #46 and Maydell #44. At a young age, Beverly wasn't expected to survive a bout with pneumonia; she was given one of the first doses of penicillin to a child and survived – which is testament of her courage and strength. She graduated as valedictorian from Garden City High School in 1949. Following graduation, she attended the Bartron School of Nursing and graduated as a Registered Nurse with Exemplary Honors. As part of her training, she interned at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. Beverly's nursing career transcended decades – with the majority of her career as a Public Health Nurse, serving patients across Big Stone County.

Beverly and her dear friend, Gail Gess, ventured to Ortonville Hospital for their first jobs and as faith would have it, they both they both met the loves of their lives on a double date. Beverly was married to David Lee Jones at First English Lutheran Church in 1954. To this union, four children were born: Colleen Ann, Michelle Kay, Larry Lee, and Barbara Sue. The Jones family lived in many places, including North Dakota, South Dakota, and eventually returned home to Ortonville.

Beverly had a servant heart through her care and compassion for others. She has also had a flair for baking – lefse, krumkake, fudge, as well as countless cakes with especially delicious frosting. She was also an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed hardanger, and made many craft projects. Always a farm girl at heart, flower gardening was also a passion of hers. She served her community in many ways, volunteering countless hours to First English Church, Day of Love, Girl Scouts, 4-H, the American Cancer Society, and several other organizations.

Beverly is survived by her loving family: four children: Colleen (Brian) Pribyl of Crosby, MN; Michelle (Pat) Daly of Victoria, MN; Larry (Tina) Jones of Eau Claire, WI; and Barbara (James) Brotherton of Hopkins, MN; four grandchildren: Ashely (Matt) Parker, Tyler (Grant Rubin) Jones; Kyle Pribyl, and Patrick Daly; three great-grandchildren: Henry, Eleanor, and Oliver Parker; one brother, Romaine Luckhurst; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, David Lee Jones; her parents, Ralph and Ingebor Luckhurst; her brothers and sisters-in-law: Harlan and Ailene Luckhurst, Marlo and Doris Luckhurst, Carol Luckhurst, and Orlyn and Pat Luckhurst.
