Rick Lee Abbott, 62, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at Lee Memorial Health Park in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born July 12, 1959 in Elizabeth, IN the son of Garland and Clara Mae Moser Abbott. Rick was a manager of construction equipment rental. He loved fishing, boating and more than anything, his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Deanna K. Abbott of Cape Coral, FL; Three daughters, Rikki Abbott of Corydon, IN, Dawn Hedden (Matt) of Elizabeth, IN and Blair Jordan (Frankie) of Leavenworth, IN; Three brothers Gary, Dave and Mike Abbott (Joan) all of Elizabeth, IN; Two sisters, Paula Murphy (Pete) of Elizabeth, IN and Kathy Ridge (Robert) of New Albany, IN; 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral ceremony will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 11 AM at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth, IN.
Visitation will begin Monday from Noon until 8 PM and continue Tuesday at 9 AM until the service time at the funeral home.
