David Estel Abel age 50, of Loogootee, passed away January 22, 2022, at the Daviess Community Hospital in Washington. He was born March 9, 1971, in Bedford, Indiana to Dale and Darcus (Howell) Abel. David was a 1991 Graduate of Loogootee High School and was a diesel mechanic for many years.

He is survived by his mother, Darcus Abel; children, Jennifer Abel and Dalton Abel; grandchildren, Zane Holland and Lavinia Holland; one brother, Eric Abel; and three nieces, Kayla Abel, Danielle Abel and Olivia Abel. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale E. Abel.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Pastor Ed Frost will officiate. Visitation will be 9:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday.
